Subject: PhD in Museum Studies
Dear Colleagues, Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts is conducting a feasibility study of potential interest in a Ph.D. program in Museum Studies. We are seeking input from museum professionals, museum studies faculty members, and students/graduates of museum studies programs. Please consider the four questions below and respond directly to me (rather than to the list) by October 16th. Cordially, Margaret A. Lindauer, Associate Professor Museum Studies Coordinator Department of Art History Virginia Commonwealth University

I am not ware of any, but I would like to know if any universities are going to be offfering it.
We welcome any other comments you would like to offer.
I think a PhD program would "legitimize" museum studies to many academics. I have a MA in Museum Studies and would have liked to gone on to receive a PhD in my field but it is not available to me.
