Call for participation: UNESCO Digital Arts Award 2005
Young artists from around the world are invited to take part in this
year¹s award devoted to the theme of ³City and creative media².
Organized in collaboration with Art Center Nabi (Seoul, Republic of
Korea), the Award would be delivered to non-realized project proposals
in order to embrace a wider audience of creators, who have the
innovative artistic ideas but not necessarily the means.
The call specifically aims at encouraging young emerging artists to
cultivate new forms of expressions using new media and technology in
reflecting on how urban spaces and city environments could be
transformed into creative outlets.
The submission deadline is 14 September 2005. All project proposals
should be submitted online at the official website of submission
(<http://www.nabi.or.kr/unesco_award>), where participants will also be
able to find further detailed information (description of sub-themes,
general guidelines, submission criteria, etc). All submissions should
be in English.
The total prize money is US $10,000, which would be divided into and
given to more than one laureate, in some cases a group of artists. An
additional US $10,000 will be granted by the Art Center Nabi , as
production costs, to the winner(s) of a Special Honorary Mention
awarded for projects already realized that can be re-embodied within
the urban context of city Seoul. The funds are also to cover the travel
costs of the 1st winner of the UNESCO Award to the International
Workshop in October organized by Nabi.
The award-winning projects would be selected by an international jury,
assembled on this occasion representing the five geo-cultural regions
(Africa, Arab States, Asia/Pacific, Europe/North America, and Latin
America/Caribbean).

Appel des candidatures: Prix UNESCO des arts numériques 2005
Les jeunes artistes du monde entier sont invités à participer à
l¹édition 2005 du prix UNESCO des arts numériques consacrée au thème
«La ville et les médias créatifs». Organisé en association avec le
centre d¹art Nabi (Séoul, République de Corée), le prix sera attribué à
des propositions de projets non complétés afin de s¹adresser au plus
grand nombre d¹artistes, notamment à ceux qui disposent parfois des
idées créatrices, mais pas nécessairement des moyens pour les réaliser.
L¹appel de candidature a pour principal objectif d¹encourager les
jeunes artistes à cultiver de nouvelles formes d¹expression grâce aux
nouveaux médias et à la technologie. Le prix vise à encourager une
réflexion sur les possibilités de transformation créative des espaces
et des environnements urbains.
La date limite de soumission des candidatures est le 14 septembre 2005.
Toutes les propositions de projet devront être renvoyées via Internet
sur le site officiel de candidature

Les candidatures doivent être soumises en Anglais.
La somme total des prix offerts est de 10,000 $ US. Ce montant sera
divisé et attribué à plusieurs lauréats, individuels ou groupes
d¹artistes. Un montant additionnel du 10,000 $ US est offert par le
centre d'art Nabi. Ce montant sera divisé en plusieurs lauréats d'une
mention honorable extraordinaire pour des projets déjà réalisés pouvant
être reproduits dans le contexte urbain de la ville de Séoul. Les fonds
serviront à couvrir les frais de reproduction des oeuvres dans la ville
de Séoul. Une partie de ces fonds servira également à financer la
participation du lauréat du premier prix UNESCO à la réunion organisé
par le centre d¹art NABI en octobre.
Les lauréats seront désignés par un jury international réuni pour
l¹occasion et représentant les cinq grandes régions géoculturelles
(Afrique, Pays arabes, Asie/Pacifique, Europe/Amérique du Nord et
Amérique latine/Caraïbes).
