Thanks in advance for anything you can do to help spread the word and/or
encourage people to register for the 4th conference on Partnership
Opportunities for Federally Associated Collections. It is scheduled for the
first week in December in Washington, DC and will be preceded by a couple of
days of training workshops.

Please visit http://www.doi.gov/museum/FAC/ for the current status of the
conference. Additional details will be added as they become available.

Below is the text of the announcement that appeared in the August issue of
the AAM Curcom Update (the newsletter of the AAM Curators Committee). Feel
free to distribute this or a similar announcement to your favorite
newsletters, list-serves, agency e-mail lists, etc.

contribute to national-level strategic planning and decision-making aimed at
improving funding, access, care and use of Federally associated collections.

Pre-conference training workshops are scheduled for December 3-4, 2002.

Further information is available at http://www.doi.gov/museum/FAC/ , or
