One of the exhibits at the Children's Museum of South Carolina  is a
circuit table.  It is designed so that visitors can learn about
batteries, the components of a circuit, and the difference between a
series and parallel circuit.  To accomplish this, several circuits have
been pre-built with text accompanying them.  The idea is for people to
read the text and make their way around the table.  Afterwards, they can
build their own circuit from an assortment of pieces at three empty
spaces.  (Sample circuit diagrams are available).  The problem we are
having is that children (and sometimes adults) are destroying the
pre-built circuits.  In come cases, the children are too young to
understand and without proper supervision, just start pulling the
pieces.  We have tried both super glue and liquid nail to keep the
pieces down).  Sometimes it is simply a lack of reading that causes the
problems.  Does anyone have any recommendations on exhibits such as
this?  Also, circuit components that are kids friendly (i.e.
indestructible)?  I thank you all in advance for any tips you might
have.
