MUSEUM INTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE

Located on 18 waterfront acres in historic St. Michaels, Maryland, the
Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is dedicated to preserving and
interpreting the heritage of the Chesapeake Bay. The Museum's
exhibitions, educational programs, and collection of Chesapeake Bay
maritime artifacts including more than 85 traditional Bay watercraft,
tell the story of how the Bay came to be, what its role has been in our
nation's history, and how it has shaped the lives of everyone who has
lived around it, from Native Americans to colonists to watermen today.

The Museum's internship program is an integral part of its educational
activities. Internships provide students with the opportunity to gain
training in their specific area of expertise as well as an overview of
Museum practices and policies. Individuals working towards undergraduate
