I am currently thinking of writing a plan for the book in museum studies.
I am looking for AUTHOURS OF BOOK(S) in the list who could help me by
providing answers for a number of questions:
        1) Please provide name(s) of the book(s), publisher(s) and date(s)
        2) Who has fixed the price of the book? the publisher or you? Did you
have a say in the price? If not why not?
        3) How did you reach a "gross margin"? What does the "gross margin"
                mean any way?
        4) How did you decide the subject matter, format, length, and the
schedule? Have these decisions changed during the formal
                agreement with the commisioning editor?
        5) How much and how you were paid? Have you any suggestions for the
                first-time authors?
        6) What were the decsions reached regarding the copyrights and your
loyalties? Were there any options given from which you can
                 choose? what are they?
        7) Have you discussed about the "advance", "return on foreign sales"
and eventualities as TV or news paper serialisation? What is
exactly "advace" or "return on foreign sales"?
        8) How many complementary copies have you received?
        9) Have you got any "translations", television" and "anthology rights"?
        10) Who in your case, have secured reproduction rights for
illustrations if any? Were you asked to bear the cost of that
                by yourself?
        11) How long did you take to submit the final manuscript since the
formation of idea, the submission of proposal, and the formal
agreement respectively? What are the factors you think
                important in deciding the schedule?
        12) What are the editorial strategy the publisher adapted in your case?
                What is your experience?
        13) Who did the proof corrections? Have you needed to do any major
modifications and subsequently face any problems? Please give
your tips for the new authors.
        14) Any other suggestions or comments or any questions you would like
                to ask me.

Thank you very much for everyone who would be willing to help me. I would
assure maintain integrity, anonymity and confidentiality on information that
will be directly sent to me. However it is upto the authors to choose the
modes: the direct mode or the list mode.

Thanks again and sorry for many questions.
