Hello,

The Commonwealth Museum in Boston (www.state.ma.us/sec/index.htm) is
considering investing in head sets or "wands" to provide visitors with an
audio tour of our exhibits.  I was wondering if anyone had advice on the
best technology, the best use of these tours in a small museum, and on the
logistics of using them.

For example:
Are digital recorders better than the traditional audio tapes?
Does anyone have advice about recording and producing the tour in-house
rather than hiring an outside company?
What is the labor investment for handing them out, making sure they are
returned, and maintaining the players?
What hidden considerations are there?
