Hello, The Commonwealth Museum in Boston (www.state.ma.us/sec/index.htm) is considering investing in head sets or "wands" to provide visitors with an audio tour of our exhibits. I was wondering if anyone had advice on the best technology, the best use of these tours in a small museum, and on the logistics of using them. For example: Are digital recorders better than the traditional audio tapes? Does anyone have advice about recording and producing the tour in-house rather than hiring an outside company? What is the labor investment for handing them out, making sure they are returned, and maintaining the players? What hidden considerations are there? Thanks! Ann-Eliza Dr. Ann-Eliza H.
