However, use the blue tape trick (put the tape on first and then adhere the velcro) under the velcro that adheres to the wall, lest you want to lose the top layer of your drywall!

I'll add that by "velcro", I mean the large rolls that can be used in strips extending the full length of your panel. A long time ago I mentioned velcro to someone and they purchased the 1" round tabs. The adhesive on these may not be as strong, so, if this is what you're using, it may explain why it's not adhering to your panels.

The large rolls are heavy duty - the adhesive will stick to the foam core, but you'll never get it off!

This is my absolute favorite trade secret... Place a strip of blue
painter's tape on the wall as a protector. Then use your heavy-duty
double-sided adhesive of choice (velcro is good) to affix the panel to the
blue tape. It sticks securely to the wall, but doesn't leave residue.
Always do a test first. As an alternative, many printers can install
hanging hardware on panels for you -- such as cleats or hanging wire.

I wrote about this method in a bit more detail in a recent issue of my
newsletter (which offers tips in exhibition and graphic design), as part of
an ongoing series called "Types of adhesive you cannot live without!"
