AASLH is offering free information webinars about its new StEPs program (Standards and Excellence Program for History Organizations). StEPs is a self-paced program that offers small- and mid-sized history organizations a way to assess their policies and practices and earn progress certificates. The $150 enrollment fee is a one-time payment no matter if your organization is in the program for two years, ten years, or even longer. StEPs was developed by AASLH with IMLS funding and the help of more than 130 volunteers from across the country.

Each webinar is one hour. The dates are: (note that the intended audience for each webinar is different):

The webinar will present ideas on how service organizations can use StEPs materials to enhance their programs and services including workshops, onsite consultations, and publications. Webinar speakers will be Cherie Cook, AASLH Senior Program Manager, and Jeff Harris, Director of Local History Services at the Indiana Historical Society.
