Part-Time Position Available
Part Time Event Administrative Assistant

The mission of The Tech Museum of Innovation is to serve as an educational
resource that engages people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and
experiencing technologies affecting their lives, and to inspire young
people to become innovators in developing technologies of the future. 

The Tech Museum of Innovation is seeking an Event Administrative Assistant
to provide support in the sales, marketing and management of special events
at The Tech. The event administrative assistant position is a regular, part
time position with standard benefits reporting to the Special Event and
Sales Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist the Special Event and Sales Manager in the marketing, coordination
and staffing of special events. 
· Provide administrative assistance to the Special Event and Sales Manager
and Event Coordinator.
· Answer phones and provide information to potential event clients.
· Check voice mailboxes of Event Manager and Event Coordinator.
· Coordinate event mailings, fax and information distribution.
· Maintain records of logistics of event including catering, decorations,
audio visual needs and organize pre-event checklists and details.
· Assist the Event Coordinator and Event Assistant during events as needed.
· Manage event database records for direct mailings to target markets,
including meeting and event planners, corporate contacts, convention
contacts and designated groups.
· Assemble materials for targeted direct mailings and individual event
prospects.
· Distribute event follow-up materials.
· Assist in other event marketing efforts as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Basic business (typing, fax, phone) and computer (word processing,
database) skills required
· Ability to prioritize and work independently and within a team
environment to complete multiple tasks and meet deadlines
· Motivated, enthusiastic self starter, reliable and punctual
· Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
· Willingness to be flexible to the museum's needs

Hours:  Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 1:00 pm
