Dear Katherine -

Have you asked your museum to buy the books? Do they have a staff library?
If so, I would think that books such as you want would be of more general
use and should be in the library. We have a library here that includes all
sorts of books on museum topics, as well as books on the subjects of our
collections; staff members, with supervisor's approval, are allowed to
order books that would be useful in helping them do their jobs.
