Dear Mr. Urban:  I guess I personally don't mind if people post their
availability for a job on this list.  It is somewhat of a gamble. However,
if I knew of an available position that seemed to fit this individual, I
would try to let that person know about the position.  I certainly do
appreciate seeing position listings on this list- as do many other museum
professionals.

On the flip side of this question, is it appropriate for job seekers to
post their availability to the list?  As a recent grad who's looking for a
position in the museum field I've been tempted to post my vital
information to the list.  Several years ago I remember people being flamed
for this practice and have held off posting anything.  Any suggestions
about the current feeling of the list?
