DEPARTMENT OF MUSEUM STUDIES
LECTURER IN MUSEUM STUDIES
Applicants should have relevant post-graduate qualifications and
professional full-time work experience in museums. It is expected that you
will teach courses and supervise research in the areas of Exhibitions,
Education, Visitor Studies, Marketing and Public Relations, and coordinate
and contribute to the course on Museum Management. A sound knowledge of
contemporary museology and an active involvement in the museum profession
will be an advantage.
Museum Studies at Massey University offers a graduate Diploma and MA in
Museum Studies. Undergraduate courses are being developed in Heritage
Studies. All courses are taught internally and extramurally and you will be
expected to contribute to both.
