Exhibition Designer sought:
The Stanford University Museum of Art is seeking an experienced
exhibition designer to work with its staff in planning, supervising
relevant fabrication, and implementing the reinstallation of its
permanent collection in preparation for its 1998 reopening.
The initial temporary exhibition(s) and the encyclopaedic permanent
collection will be installed in the completely rennovated beaux-arts
building and in a new wing designed by Polshek and Partners.
It is anticipated that the designer will work with the museum for 9
to 12 months. The design process will involve close dialogue with
curators, educators, and conservators as we seek solutions that will
engage the university student as well as a diverse community
audience.
