Hi Everyone,

I feel the need to respond to several comments on the WEB
issue. First, I am not affiliated with a museum, just an avid
lover of museums.

WEB pages can never replace an actual visit to a museum, but
would make an excellent preview. Every museum should, in my
opinion, have some sort of WEB presence. If only to give visiting
hours and a brief description of upcoming exhibits.

When I travel, the first thing I do before leaving is go to
the WEB and find out what museums are in the city I am traveling to.
It gives me an idea of the exhibits, hours and cost.

Surveys are deceiving. More people use the WEB than you can
imagine. My company designs WEB pages and we see how many times a
page is "hit". The WEB is growing at such a rapid rate it is hard
to keep up with it. With the new Netscape 2.0, the things you will
be able to do are astounding. The WEB is like the FAX machines
were years ago, people asked if you had a FAX machine, now they
ask for your FAX number.

One last comment. I constantly see WEB address changes.
If you are going to do a page, register a domain name. It is very
simple and inexpensive to do. With a domain name your WEB page
address will always stay the same. (http://www.museum.com/exhibits)
It is a nightmare to change links, believe me, I know.
