This is what Michelin has to say about the Maeght Foundation:

"This modern art museum is located northwest of St.-Paul in a pinewood on La
Gardette Hill. Using white concrete and rose-coloured bricks the architect
Jose Luis Sert has created an architectural complex in the true Mediterranean
style. Incorporated in the enclosure wall in a mosaic by Tal-Coat; in the
park the visitor is greeted by a Calder stabile, as well as mobiles,
sculpture, a bronze by Zadkine and Arp's Giant Pip. In the garden is the
Labyrinth with sculpture and ceramics by Miro and in the Chapel of St.
Bernard are stained glass windows by Ubac and Braque; the Stations of the
Cross are by Ubac. A Braque mosaic forms the background to a pond while
another by Chagall decorates the external wall of the sales room. The museum
is made up of two buildings divided by a court peopled with sculpture by
Giacometti. The collection of modern art is exhibited in rotation in
specially designed rooms: canvases, sculpture, ceramics and drawings by
Braque, Chagall, Leger, Kandinsky, Miro, Giacometti, Bonnard, Derain,
Matisse, Bazaine, Hartung, Tapies, etc. as well as works by several artists
of the younger generation (Adami, Garache, Messagier, Viallat, etc.). The
Foundation organises annual exhibitions. In summer, during the temporary
exhibitions, the permanent collection is not displayed."

I can tell you that this is certainly not to missed if you get to the south
of France. I went from room to room drooling the whole time! The gardens,
which the tour guide makes a big deal about, is not to be skipped in favour
of the paintings and sculptures. I recommend a visit of at least two hours.

My guide does not have their address, but their telephone number is:
93 32 81 63.
