Java has pretty mindboggling applications for the future, one of which is
curtailing the monopoly of Microsoft.

I finally sat myself down at an Indy and explored (thanks Cooper Union) and
found the applications now pretty clunky, even on an Indy and T1 connection.
But a wise museum will make friends with a java programmer for the future. It
does make the internet more flexible and at some point we will all have ISDN
connections as a matter of course. Meanwhile, I'm plugging along with frames
and HTML 3.
