A v-groove track, with notches along the edge can be installed along the cornice
moulding around the top edges of the room. long metal rods hook into these
notches and hang down to a few feet from the floor. friction spring clips slide
up and down on these rods. pictures are attached to these clips. For heavy or
wide work the rods are moved beside each other, or spaced the right distance
apart.

The rods are surprisingly unobtrusive when a painting is on them, and removed
from the track when not used

does this make sense? ever try to describe, without illustrating, how to tie
your shoes?
