scholarship to defray the cost of graduate study.  My goal is to join you
in the museum profession, and I have been thrilled at being a part of this
discussion group (I have just been a member for three days).  The main part
of the Truman application is a public policy statement which I must write
and direct toward a government agency.   I would like to address the issues
surrounding the use of computer technology in museums, so the recent
discussion about access has been interesting.  If anyone could provide personal
comments or suggestions for further reading on any aspect of computer
technology utilized in the museum field, I would appreciate it.  Information
about what, if any, role the U.S. government has played in this area, or
ideas about what it should play and who I should address in my analysis would
