The Flandrau Science Center at the University of Arizona in Tucson is
preposing a project to address the needs of the museum community's
visitors who have a disability. The conference will also offer exhibit
design/build workshops. The main focus of the conference and workshops
will be to develop workable solutions to common design challenges, to
provide a forum for discussion and to engender a positive attitude toward
making the transition to an accessible museum. The topics will be
specifically geared toward the informal science education community. These
include; science museums, zoos, aquariums., botanical gardens and the
like.
Please let me know if you would like to know more about this project of
if you would like to be kept up to date on its progress. We are looking
for feedback to access interest.
