CONTROLLER

For our museum client, we are seeking an experienced controller to maintain
internal control of the Museum's finances, budgets, accounting records and
financial statements to ensure the smooth operation of business functions in
accordance with accepted accounting procedures. Responsibilities include
assisting the director in annual budget preparation; preparing financial
reports to comply with grant and governmental funding requirements;
overseeing annual audit; preparation of bi-weekly payroll, annual 550 for
employee pension plan, and other plans; monitoring cash disbursements;
supervising internal business functions, incudling shop, front desk, daily
cash receipts; bank reconciliations.  The ideal candidate will have similar
experience in a cultural or nonprofit organization; supervisiory experience
and excellent communciation skills for interacting with staff, Director and
Trustees.  Minimum 5 years financial experience and knowledge of American
