I want to start this posting with a thank you to all those who have sent me
responses to my question about hand crank versus electric crank compacting
systems.  I thought the list would like to know that nearly everyone has
recommended hand crank for reasons of power failure in disaster situations
and mechanical breakdowns.

So thank you all for the great information and if there are more comments to
be made, please send them along.  If anyone wants the data that has been
shared, please let me know.
