Hey Josh,

I am in the same boat as you. I too am interested in a degree from City
University, however I applied to Hunter College. I don't know what their
standing in the museum industry is, but Hunter College came highly
recommended from an art historian, and former teacher of mine. She
emphatically praised their program as being one of the best in the country.

I have had some trouble getting in however because it's so cheap so it's
competitive. I assume City University even more so because theirs is a PhD
program. It is better to be accepted into a PhD program however because
then you will be on one track and earn your Masters on the way, rather than
have to change schools which can be very frustrating.

I am also looking for part-time or full-time work in the NYC area.

I know I don't have the answers you were looking for, but maybe somehow I
helped. At the least, it's nice to know that someone else out there is
feeling the same frustrations as you when it gets tough.
