If you've had any experience with living history programs that deal with
modern history, specifically immigrant groups in urban settings, their
migration stories, or how their culture and art have adapted in their new
homeland, I'd love to hear about it.

I know some people don't consider modern history to be a suitable subject
for interpretation via living history.  But I'm looking for interesting
programming ideas that involve face to face interaction.  Call it what you
will!
