Depending upon your own museum's physical layout, some museums block off
the wings and corridors that are being repainted, some do maintenance
work when the museum is closed to the public.  Whatever fits your own
schedule and the safety of both staff and visitors.

If you are encountering problems with toxicity of the fumes, I would
like to alert you to the Ecological Architectural Resource Database,
edited by David Kibbey.  It comes in CD-ROM for both Mac (7.1 or better)
and PC computer formats.

The database itself is a FileMaker Pro program and has the necessary
installers if you don't have FMP already on your computer- it contains
names and addresses of companies that sell building materials, including
paints that are ecologically sound- in other words, materials that are
safe for both humans and objects in the museums.

It also has code requirements for building projects in pdf format
