Thank you for the quick responses.  I have emailed Merri (yes I do know
her, but hadn't thought to ask her).  Have emailed Marc a lengthy history
and have started to check the Library of Congress. I went to the NPS
database first without much success.  There are lots of photos of carriage
houses, mostly from the outside and architectural plans from when they have
been restored, but sadly few show the actual floor materials.
