I am sorry to report on the passing of Michael Ames from Vancouver on 
Feb 20th.

Michael was one of our brightest minds and a frequent contributor to 
museum thinking and philosophy over his many years as Director of the 
Museum of Anthropology at UBC in Vancouver.

He was a Fellow of the Canadian Museums Association and received many 
other honours, nationally and internationally.

He died of cancer and had been in pallative care for the past few weeks. 
We will all miss him.
