I really enjoy using this LIST as the topics are very much in my field of interest but perhaps I do not reply very often. The recent 'batch' of emails generated by my simple action of attempting to reply is therefor pretty scary.

My reply generated no less than four other emails

        was followed by

• your request to confirm
• my OK reply
• your acknowledgement of my OK
• your confirmation of successful distribution

Is this not a bit heavy handed??        I trust this will not be seen as being offensive - certainly not my intention anyway
