I suppose I should advise people that, in addition to CHIN, the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Hull, Quebec, will be closed to the public "until further notice" (which likely means "till next Tuesday/20 Jan), also due to a request from Hydro Quebec to reduce power consumption while services are restored to the afflicted parts of the province. Staff, however, will mostly be in their offices, unless unable to get there, due to fallen trees, power lines, etc. CMC's affiliate, the Canadian War Museum, IS open to the public and is pleased to announce our new exhibition "Reflections on the Holocaust: The Art of Aba Bayefsky" which opens to the public tomorrow, 16 January. Aba Bayefsky was a war artist with the Royal Canadian Air Force, who was with the British Army when the concentration camp of Bergen-Belsen was liberated. The experience altered his life. This exhibition of very striking works in several media is extremely though-provoking. We will be putting a number of the images and a description of the exhibition onto the Canadian War Museum shortly. Harry Needham Director, Programmes & Operations Canadian War Museum
