As I thought I had said, we discourage them from photographing ORIGINAL works
of art. As far as I am concerned, they can shoot away at repros till the cows
come home, provided they don't bother other people. I find that most of the
people who photograph museums these days come with video, rather than still
cameras, and the low-light capabilities of modern video cameras eliminates the
strain on both the artifacts and the people, unless you get clipped on the head
by some idiot panning without watching what he/she is doing!
