Regardless of if they did have a consultant it was so true and so funny. I used to work at the US Holocaust Museum as a "burgundy" jacket. We didn't eat with the security in the "blue" jackets, but we did hang out with the conservation folks in the "white/no jacket" folks and to get the people who worked in the offices (development/research/admin.) to talk to us we had to remove our jackets, or else all they saw was the jacket and not the person underneath. Part of this has to do with age and background. Blue jackets tended to be Afro-Americans 25-50 with a AA/BA and an odd MBA here and there, the burgundy jackets were fresh out of college, white (with the exception of myself), hoping to use the job as a stepping stone, and some white jackets were ex-burgundy jackets. You may have expected more from such a museum, because of its subject matter, but remember it is a just a musuem and not real life. mmm DearmasA ([log in to unmask]) wrote: : I thought the whole story about the division between museum scientists and all : others was not only funny, but right on the mark.
