This is a request for comments and suggestions on a possible topic for an upcoming issue (1998 or 1999) of the Journal of Museum Education. Many museums, both art and science, appear to be either creating schools themselves or collaborating with schools and school systems in a variety of ways in order to have an impact on school reform, teaching strategies, implementation of standards, etc . 1. Please send me a brief note if you are engaged in such a project 2. Whether you are working on a museum-school project or not, please let me know if you think an issue of the Journal devoted to this topic would be useful, of interest, etc. 3. If there have been efforts to study or evaluate such projects, this would also be of interest Note, I've already sent out this request to the Informal Science Education Network and received good response; I apologize in advance to those of you on several museum related lists because you will probably see this message several times. I also ask that you respond to me on the list because, from my ISEN experience, there are a number of people who are interested in this and would like to know who is responding. Thanks very much, Gretchen Jennings Editor-in-Chief Journal of Museum Education (for information on the Journal itself, contact [log in to unmask])
