Kathryn A nice, old-fashioned sentiment that I haven't heard since Norman Mailer wrote The Faith of Graffiti in the 60's. Soon it was everywhere, defacing some wonderful architecture, and leading to a crisis of urban angst the like of which we've never seen before (since graffiti has been removed from New York City subways, ridership has increased more than 30%). It's a real downer! I suspect you haven't lived with it as much as some other urban dwellers have -- Jay Fahey
