i am doing a dissertation on the early years of museum work in Germany
and the United States. I am especially interested in the relations
between art-history-connoisseurship-and museum curators between 1880 and
1930. I allready know J. Lynne Teathers well done overview in:
M.J.Shapiro (ed.), The Museum A. Reference Guide, New York 1990. Any
suggestions for recent works or material?
