Regarding the recent post on conservation shows, I wonder if anyone remembers the really wonderful Albert Ryder exhibit at the National Museum of American Art a couple of years ago. A third of the exhibit was devoted to a conservation analysis of Ryder's work and included x-rays. Another third of the show, interestingly enough, was devoted to fakes. A really innovative exhibit that should have gotten NMAA as much attention as the ever-popular West as America. Chuck Watkins [log in to unmask]
