The University of Arizona Museum of Art has two travelling exhibitions
available to other galleries and museums beginning in the Fall of 1996.
They are "Rockin' and Rollin': 300 Years of Mezzotints," an exhibition that
surveys both the historic and expressive parameters of this medium; and "The
Miseries and Misfortunes of War," an exhibition that looks at the ways
artists using various print media have responded to this subject matter from
the 16th through 20th centuries. Both exhibitions are of framed, original
prints and have didactic panels and information. Brochures will also be
supplied. There will be approximately 35 framed works in each show that
require about 150-200 feet of wall space. Checklists and some visuals are
available. Moderate security required. For further information, reply on
e-mail, or call/write Peter Briggs, Curator of Collections at 520-621-7567,
University of Arizona, Museum of Art, Tucson, AZ 85721.
