Robin P. from New Zealand -- I evidently copied down your e-mail address incorrectly because the message bounced back to me. So with apologies to others on museum-l who don't care about this subject, I'm sending my response to the entire list in the hopes that it will reach Robin. ------- Forwarded Message Follows ------- Received: from PMAILQ by EDU-UTAH-UMNH-GEODE (Mercury 1.11); Mon, 2 Oct 95 8:16: 40 MDT Return-path: <[log in to unmask]> Received: from raven.umnh.utah.edu by geode.umnh.utah.edu (Mercury 1.11); Mon, 2 Oct 95 8:16:31 MDT Received: by raven.umnh.utah.edu (5.0/SMI-SVR4) id AB16321; Mon, 2 Oct 1995 08:03:44 +0700 Date: Mon, 2 Oct 1995 08:03:44 +0700 From: [log in to unmask] (Mail Delivery Subsystem) Subject: Returned mail: Host unknown Message-Id: <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> content-length: 2054 ----- Transcript of session follows ----- 421 Host ikaroa.monz.nz not found for mailer ddn. 550 <[log in to unmask]>... Three years ago, they opened an exhibit called "A Tribute to Survival" which includes a contemporary Native American powwow scene with 30-plus figures. 30-plus Native Americans from all the 11 soverign nations in Wisconsin sat to have head casts made, and the powwow outfits were all made by Wisconsin Native Americans. It's quite impressive. Jim isn't on e-mail, I don't think, but his phone number in the U.S. is 414-278-2704, and his mailing address is Milwaukee Public Museum, 800 W. Wells Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53233. Milwaukee is only 90 miles north of Chicago, about an hour-and-a-half's train ride from downtown Chicago to downtown Milwaukee, so if your folks are going to be at the Field Museum (which I'd also suggest they visit), then it would be easy for them to make a day trip to Milwaukee. Please feel free to tell Jim I suggested you contact him. Best wishes for a productive trip -- Claudia M. Oakes Assistant Director for Public Programs Utah Museum of Natural History [log in to unmask]
