The gallery in which I currently work uses a democratic system for jurying artwork. In this system, a staff of five rates each piece from one to five. Five being the best, one being the worst. This is a quick way to get everyone's opinion on about 200 works in a 2-3 hour period, but it doesn't leave much room for critical analysis or discussion among members of the jury. Does anyone have any suggestions or methods of group jurying and/or group curating that are both thorough and efficient? Deborah Bain Student Center Art Gallery SFSU, San Francisco, CA
