I would like to thank Richard Duggan for his response to my previously posted question. His description of the process of etching glass to get different levels is quite good. The process I am looking for was a method of avoiding the messy (and noxous) acid etch by simply adding pieces of a transparent material to the back of a pane of glass to get the different levels. Covering the back with a reflective material such as gold or silver leaf then finished the task. If anyone has any information about work developed using this second method, I would appreciate hearing about it. Thanks very much. Cordially Robert W. Bradspies -- [log in to unmask] -- 310-475-0624
