Robert Baron writes sadly about the death of the artefact and sacralisation
of the virtual, but reflects more optimistically on the luxury-isation [?]
of obsolete technologies such as manuscripts.
 
An exemplary counterpoint: it was Bill Gates - virtual guru - who purchased
the Hammer Leonardo Codex, which I understand is less visual than textual.
Hallelujah - even Gates is touched by the real.
