>In the 80's, the Robert Abel Computer Graphic Firm created the Sexy= > Robot. >Is there a 3 dimensional prototype of it and where would it be ? > > >Helen Dionne=20 >Research and Evaluation Dept. >Musee de la civilisation >Quebec, Canada > >H=E9l=E8ne Dionne The piece you speak of was produced in 3D animation, and as such, no physical prototype was ever made or needed. The motion of the "robot" was modeled with an actress who had control points physically placed on her to ascertain proper movement, and that data was used in a 3D modeling system as points to describe the coordinates of the motion. The surfaces and lighting are all 3D animation, and as such are synthetic. Jim Lindner VidiPax The Magnetic Media Restoration Company [log in to unmask]
