                              Job Description
 
                        Assistant Curator of Education
                                  for the
                          Yeshiva University Museum
                             New York, New York
 
 
 
Assistant Curator of Education for Museum Education Department, which has
two full time educators and an active docent and volunteer corps.  The
position requires the ability to work with groups of all ages and
includes the following responsibilities:
 
        * Planning, preparing and conducting hands-on crafts workshops
        and youth tours.
 
        * Planning and executing special events (family workshops, live
        performances, etc.).
 
        * Coordination of teaching schedules.
 
        * Liaison wiht Museum docents.
 
        * Producting artwork for flyers, announcements, etc.
 
        * Some Sunday programs.
 
 
 
Requirements:
 
M.A. in Museum Education or Art Education or related field plus 1 to 2
years of experience, or B.A. with 3 years experience.  Knowledge of
Jewish culture, Hebrew an asset.  Organizational skills.  Experience with
computers.
