Send the command to the listserv of the list in question (NOT to the list itself!), and you should get an acknowledgment that the change has been made and a list of all the options you have set on the list (e.g. digest or repro or conceal). Henceforth, any message the list sends you will have a few extra lines at the top, repeating the listname and the subject line ... and giving the name / email address of the original sender.
