Just read your interesting post--we are about to set up a discovery
room for k-5ers--and I don't want to have all pulleys/levers as I was
raised as an ecologist.  On the other hand, we will have some of that
stuff.  I've talked with a gender studies person here, and to a
couple of public school teachers about gender/race representations,
but since I don't get out to see the real world much, could you give
me a few examples of the offensive exhibits/stereotypes you dislike?
We'd like to do it right, if we could figure out what that was....
