It would be great for someone to look at roadside museums...fun for the researcher, too! But I'd be surprised if somebody out there hasn't already done something about them. Guess this qualifies as a "roadside museum": my favorite is the Desert O' Maine museum near Freeport, ME. There's this farm that supposedly has been covered over completely with sand. All you see are the roofs, etc. What a hoot! As you exit (through the gift shop, of course), you get to view the Sand Museum, a collection of samples of sand from all over the world in vials.
