They have rented the entire museum tonight for a reception for their group of approximately 500! Their event doesn't start until 7 pm, but you may see museum staff setting up the Friends Gallery during the day, or caterers and musicians dropping off their equipment. It will be quite an extravagant event! Tony Eng will be doing a magic show in China Town, London Bobby will be playing the piano and singing in Old Town, a Dixieland band will be playing in the Friends Gallery, a drum and keyboard player will be playing in the Coastal Forest area, a guitar and violin player will be makin' music in the Goldrush area, and Native dancers will be dancing and singing in the Totem gallery! As it turns out, this medical group was comprised of bowel disease researchers. (So many staff were curious that I thought I would tell all!) I received excellent comments about the museum in general, and many compliments on the Friends gallery. (It looked great once the lights were set and the Dixieland band was playing!)
