Inquiry to exhibit designers, builders, and curators: Iam looking for additives or substitutes for water in a maritime exhibit where water (liquid) is required. Other requirements include: minimal evaporation to eliminate condensation in a sealed environment (the exhibit has an acrylic cover) "water" must be dyeable to dark or murky color to hide mechanical components and impart depth non-toxic and non-corrosive desirable My first thoughts are things like mineral oil and aniline dye. My first question should be...How does water react over extended periods of time in sealed environments? All input is appreciated. Please reply directly to me and not to the list.
