One way that smaller museums could hook-up to Internet is throught a local
college's system.  Particularly in towns where most of the students hook-up
online, I don't see why the museums could not also be included.  That would
benefit both parties:  the small museums could utilize a college's network for
free or cheap, allowing them access to Internet and library catalogs, etc.  In
addition, the profs/students could benefit because the museums could post
events or other items of interest on the university bulliten board.  It would
also be a way for the museum to receive more input from the experts in
particular fields (ie., profs) and to generate student volunteers.  Just a
thought....
