Located in Santa Fe, NM, the New Mexico History Museum (NMHM) is pleased to share that our lead position for curation and exhibits is now open for applications!



  *   Head of Curation and Exhibits: This supervisory position oversees a team of three curators and a preparator responsible for exhibitions in more than 30,000 square feet of gallery space, including the historic Palace of the Governors and Palace Press. This is a great spot for a visionary interested in the use of new technologies and public-facing program development.



NMHM is part of a statewide system consisting of 7 other museums and 8 historic sites administered by the NM Department of Cultural Affairs. Collaboration within this system is strongly encouraged and facilitated.

The Museum has just completed a 5-year rehabilitation project on the interior of the Palace of the Governors–one of three buildings on the NMHM campus and a National Historic Landmark. We have also just completed an Interpretive Framework that will guide long term planning and implementation of exhibitions, onsite offerings, and online content.
